WWE Night of Champions is set to go ahead as planned.

Doubts had surfaced about hosting the Saudi Arabia PLE in the Kingdom amid the ongoing war-like situation in the Middle East. However, on April 23, the official WWE MENA Twitter account announced that the event would take place on June 27.

While the tensions have eased in the Middle East, they have not ceased to exist. The Stamford promotion is still optimistic about successfully hosting the premium live event next month while ensuring the safety of its traveling talent.

According to a report by Jonathan Coachman, participation for wrestlers at Night of Champions is voluntary, although neither Triple H nor anyone from Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority has officially confirmed this.

Elsewhere, TKO COO Mark Shapiro stated that not only the Night of Champions but also UFC events will take place as planned in Saudi Arabia.

I want to address activity in the Middle East and neighboring markets. First and foremost, we are firmly moving ahead with our scheduled events. UFC returns to Azerbaijan with Fight Night Baku on June 27.

That same night, WWE hosts Night of Champions from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This historic double header reflects a commitment by our respective partners and us to bring world-class events to fans across the region, even and despite a challenging environment.

WWE Night Of Champions 2026 Tickets Sold Out

One of WWE’s main concerns since last year has been rising ticket prices, which wrestling fans have publicly criticized repeatedly.

In comparison to live tapings hosted in the United States and other Western countries, the cost of tickets in Saudi Arabia is comparatively low. The wrestling promotion struggled to sell out WrestleMania 42, forcing it to provide periodic discounts as the event day approached.

Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, took to X on May 13 to confirm that the tickets for Night of Champions were sold out.

The Stamford promotion has yet to start building the card for the Night of Champions PLE, which will be subject to the availability of talents.

As of this moment, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is not advertised for the event. Initially, reports claimed that Reigns was pulled from all June tapings, but he has now been assigned 3 dates, including one in Turin, Italy, on June 1, which is the Raw episode following Clash in Italy on May 31.
