The WWE Super Showdown event is still over two weeks away on February 27, but WWE is already advertising for the Elimination Chamber PPV on March 8th in Philadelphia, PA. WWE ran a commercial in the Philadelphia market advertising a six-man Smackdown Elimination Chamber match with the winner going on to face the Universal Champion at Wrestlemania. The six Smackdown superstars currently advertised for the Elimination Chamber match are Roman Reigns, WWE Intercontinental Champion Braun Strowman, Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura, King Baron Corbin, and Robert Roode.

Current Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt is set to defend his championship against Goldberg at Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia on February 27th. The winner of that match will most likely go on to face the winner of the Elimination Chamber match at Wrestlemania 36.

Wrestlemania 36 will take place on Sunday, April 5th in Tampa Bay, FL.

As always, plans can change, but this will most likely be the match.

Matt’s Musings: Roman Reigns versus “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt has been heavily rumored to be taking place at Wrestlemania this year. With Reigns failing to win the Royal Rumble it looks like this is how WWE is going to get to that match. It would be similar to what Reigns did two years ago at Elimination Chamber 2018 when he won that match to earn a Universal Title match against Brock Lesnar at that year’s WrestleMania event.
