WWE Moves Jey Uso To Alumni Roster

jey uso smackdown superkick reigns

Jey Uso had strong words for The Bloodline and all of WWE to end Smackdown, so now he’s found himself on the company’s Alumni roster.

During the main event segment on Smackdown in Calgary, Jimmy Uso did his best to explain to his cousin Jey Uso why Jimmy cost his twin brother the Undisputed WWE Title against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.

Jimmy tried to make the point that he did it because he loves Jey and he didn’t want Jey to become the Tribal Chief because then Jey would become an “a**hole” like Roman Reigns is.

While Jey didn’t initially attack his brother Jimmy, Jey did lay out his brother Solo SIkoa and cousin Roman Reigns. Jey also followed up with a superkick for Jimmy too.

After he was left standing tall, Jey shouted at the camera: “I’m out. I’m out The Bloodline. I’m out of SmackDown. I’m out of WWE!”

Many eagle-eyed fans on Twitter/X have noticed that WWE has decided to move Jey Uso to the Alumni roster after Jey “quit” on Smackdown. If you go to WWE.com roster page, you’ll see Jey there in alphabetical after the likes of Jessamyn Duke & Jessi Kamera while Jey appears before Jillian Hall, Jim Cornette and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Neidhart.

All of this is just a storyline. As we covered earlier in the day, Jey Uso is not expected to be on Smackdown next week and neither are Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.

As you might expect, a lot of fans have also made some comical memes about how Jey Uso (using different names) is “All Elite” now since he “quit” WWE.

How Long Has Jey Uso Worked For WWE?

The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) were signed by WWE in 2009 after their uncle Umaga urged them to get into pro wrestling. By March 2010, The Usos were on the main roster.

During their WWE careers, The Usos are eight-time WWE Tag Team Champions that also hold the record for the longest tag team title reign in WWE history at 622 days. That ended in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Saturday when Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens became the new Tag Team Champions.

At Money in the Bank in July, Jey Uso got one of the biggest wins of his career when The Usos beat Roman & Solo in the tag team main event. Jey pinning Roman in that match was the first time Reigns has been pinned since December 2019. Sadly for Jey, he wasn’t able to beat Roman at SummerSlam this past weekend.
