WWE May Fire Ex-Champion, Warns Booker T
Booker T recently commented on this wrestler’s possible future while commentating for his match.
The recently vacated NXT Championship is up for grabs after Champion Oba Femi relinquished it before his move to the Stamford-based promotion’s main roster.
The qualifiers for the vacated title began on this week’s episode of NXT, the winners of which will face off in a six-man ladder match for the Title.
One of those bouts was Josh Briggs versus Shiloh Hill.
As Briggs made his way to the ring, Booker T remarked that Briggs would need a win if he wished to stay in the WWE longer, alluding to roster cuts that WWE is known to do after WrestleMania season.
Josh Briggs, like I say, this is a pivotal moment for this guy. WrestleMania is coming up, and you know what happens after WrestleMania, people start getting cut around here,” he said.
The former five-time WCW Champion and WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s comments have now sparked a debate on Briggs ‘ future. After joining WWE in 2020 as part of their developmental program, he has previously wrestled Trick Williams for the NXT Championship.
Booker T Urges WWE To Sign Real-Life Bloodline Member
Ricky Saints attacked Zilla Fatu in Booker T’s promotion, Reality of Wrestling. Booker spoke about this in an interview with MusclaManMalcolm, saying he didn’t ask Saits to be there, although it ended up being a great rub for Zilla.
The NXT crowd even chanted for Zilla to be on WWE’s roster. With Jacob Fatu’s recent comeback to SmackDown, his cousin Zilla would be a welcome addition to the roster.
With Bloodline members (Members of the famous Anoa’i Samoan family) spread across the company, Zilla Fatu’s inclusion could be interesting in building new family dynamics and feuds.
