WWE Making One More Shock Switch After Draft

WWE Triple H

WWE has been in upheaval in recent weeks with the 2024 draft taking place but with the rosters now locked in, it seems one more change is still to take place.

The 2024 WWE Draft kicked off on the 26th of April edition of SmackDown with Bianca Belair the number one overall draft pick. There was some contention before the draft began as Roman Reigns withdrew his eligibility to be drafted leaving The Bloodline languishing down the pecking order to be picked.

It has since emerged that Paul Heyman was the one to pull Reigns out of the draft as he sought to protect his Tribal Chief from the ongoing chaos in The Bloodline.

Stephanie McMahon made a surprise appearance on Raw where the rest of the picks were concluded. Some fans bemoaned the fact that the draft didn’t lead to as many changes as they’d have liked while The Undertaker named the one thing he felt was missing from the draft.

The new rosters were locked in on the May 6th episode of Raw but one report has suggested there is still another change to take place.

WWE Ring Announcers On The Move

Fightful Select has reported that Mike Rome is set to return to NXT for the first time since 2019 to ring announce on that show. That means current NXT announcer Alicia Taylor is set for a call-up to the main roster where she will share ring-announcing duties with Samantha Irvin.

Rome had been the ring announcer for SmackDown but it remains to be seen if Taylor is drafted to the blue brand or if there will be another switch with Irvin. However, Samantha Irvin’s fiancé Ricochet is part of the red brand so it seems likely she will continue on Raw.
