Bizarre Reason WWE Legend Had Real-Life Tension With Stacy Keibler

Stacy Keibler was a hit with fans in WWE, but there was one Hall of Fame star who just couldn’t see eye-to-eye with her.

Stacy Keibler was a sensation when he joined WWE after WCW’s demise in 2001. She is perhaps best remembered for her time in WWE as being “The Duchess of Dudleyville” when she teamed up with Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley.

But it wasn’t exactly a match made in heaven for Bubba Ray.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, D-Von Dudley revealed that Keibler joining the Dudleyz wasn’t a match made in heaven right away, as she and Bubba Ray had their interesting moments with each other and that all started with a mirror:

They had nothing for her at the time. I think they had exercised everything they could for her, and then they had the idea, let’s put her with the Dudleyz and see if it works, and it did. It really did work. I used to love watching her and Bubba go at it; she used to get on Bubba’s nerves so bad.

Their first interaction, at the makeup station, Bubba is there, he’s getting his makeup done, he’s fixing his hair, basically he’s standing in front of the mirror. Stacy, not realising it, really oblivious, walks in front of him and starts fixing her hair and walks away. Bubba’s like “you’re kidding me, right?” and that started everything between them, it was great.

I felt it was great because we never really had a manager except Joel Gertner and Sign Guy but to have a female manager that looked like her, I thought that was gonna be great. I think Bubba wasn’t too thrilled with it but then I think he realised all the stuff he could do with Stacy and that was when his attitude changed.

The Dudleyz are set to reunite and reignite a legendary WWE feud in what is likely to be the final match of D-Von Dudley’s career.
