Whilst Lio Rush often creates memorable moments in the ring, a WWE Hall Of Famer has discussed the time he was caught out sat in Vince McMahon’s chair.

Despite being released by WWE as part of the budget cuts which took place during 2020, Lio Rush had a very impressive run at the side of Bobby Lashley. It was a sudden transition for him to the main roster after spending a short time at the start of his run with the company in NXT.

However, The Road Dogg has discussed how the locker room once played a rib on Rush which left him sat in Vince McMahon’s chair in the gorilla position.

In a discussion on his Oh You Didn’t Know? Podcast, The Road Dogg spoke of how apologetic Lio Rush was once it was pointed out to him exactly where he was.

One time I came up to sit in my chair for ‘SmackDown,’ and Vince wasn’t there at the time, and sitting in the chair that I would sit in, that is Vince’s, is Lio Rush. It turns out some guys ribbed him and told him to sit there. I felt bad, and he was so apologetic.

The Road Dogg did also comment that he is a big fan of Lio Rush, saying that “he’s a great kid and a great worker, and does some incredible things in a wrestling ring”.

Lio Rush spent a brief spell with AEW, but has since returned to the independent scene. The Road Dogg now serves as WWE’s Senior Vice President Of Live Events.

The Road Dogg is also set to make a guest appearance on the 29th November 2022 edition of NXT alongside a number of other WWE Hall Of Famers to set up the Iron Survivor Challenge which will take place at Deadline.
