Two Major WWE Stars Might Be Added To Elimination Chamber Match
The upcoming men’s Elimination Chamber match could see a major shake-up.
On the February 23 edition of Monday Night Raw, Jey Uso defeated Bronson Reed and Original El Grande Americano to secure the final spot in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, which takes place on February 28 in Chicago.
As things currently stand, the lineup includes Randy Orton, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Jey Uso. The winner will earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42.
Jacob Fatu And Sami Zayn Could Get Added To Men’s Elimination Chamber Match
With Elimination Chamber just days away, Dave Meltzer dropped a major update on Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer stated that WWE could add more competitors to the Men’s Elimination Chamber match.
While he mistakenly mentioned Orton, who is already confirmed, the key takeaway was that Jacob Fatu and Sami Zayn could potentially be added at the last minute.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a multiple-person match at all. I mean, I’ve heard the rumors of Orton being in it… I just heard Orton might be in it, Jacob Fatu might be in it, Sami Zayn might be in it, you know, so. And they’re not even, you know, like, Jacob Fatu and Sami Zayn aren’t even in this chamber match.”
Such a surprise would drastically change the match dynamics. Fatu has been feuding with McIntyre and chasing his title since being mysteriously attacked backstage last year. He believes the attack, which sidelined him for months, was orchestrated by McIntyre.
Meanwhile, Zayn recently battled McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble but came up short. Despite the loss, Zayn remains determined to finally capture a world championship.
