WWE Confirms John Cena’s Official Role For WrestleMania 42

John Cena is officially going to WWE WrestleMania 42.

The Leader of the Cenation wrapped up his in-ring career last December following his defeat against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He has since teased having a new role in the Stamford-based company.

Earlier today, the 17-time world champion took to social media to break the news that he would be the host of WrestleMania 42 next month in Las Vegas.

Ah, retired life in the sun. I’m kidding! Check out the backdrop. I’m shooting a movie for Netflix called One Attempt Remaining that you can see when it comes out. I’m also on the road…which is ironic because there’s a Road to WrestleMania going on and Hollywood is really close to [Las] Vegas. Rumor around this town is, WrestleMania needs a host. Well, I’m already on that road. So, I will C-U at WrestleMania.

WWE Makes John Cena’s Announcement Official

Following John Cena’s announcement, WWE’s official social media accounts confirmed the news that The Leader of the Cenation will host this year’s Show of Shows.

The GOAT @JohnCena is OFFICIALLY the Host of #WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas!!!
