It has been announced by WWE that Cody Rhodes has a broken arm going into his huge match at Night of Champions.

One of the three main event matches that WWE is promoting for Night of Champions is a grudge match between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar.

At the WWE Night of Champions Press Conference that took place earlier today in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the company announced that Cody Rhodes has a broken left arm going into his match against Lesnar. It is just a storyline injury. Despite the injury, Cody will still be taking part in the match.

The interesting thing about Triple H announcing the injury is that it was about ten years ago when Triple H had a storyline broken left arm injury against Lesnar when they were feuding.

In this case, Cody’s injury took place this past Monday on the May 22nd edition of Raw. Lesnar attacked Cody in the backstage area and focused the attack on the left arm by using an object to hit Cody’s left arm while it was against a steel garage door.

Later on Raw, Lesnar was in the ring talking about what he did to Cody, which led to Rhodes going out there with his left arm in a sling along with an ice pack. When Lesnar got a hold of Cody, he immediately applied a Kimura Lock submission to the left arm while Cody screamed in pain. Lesnar did a final tweak to sell the idea that he snapped the arm.

The Cody Rhodes-Brock Lesnar match at Night of Champions will be a rematch from Backlash three weeks ago when Cody countered a Kimura Lock submission and pinned Lesnar to win the match.

Here’s the full lineup for WWE Night of Champions on Saturday, May 27th.
