WWE Superstar Bids Goodbye To Brand After Relinquishing Title
A wrestler has said goodbye to their WWE brand as they look forward to the future on a new show.
There are different levels to being a WWE superstar, as fans of the sports entertainment juggernaut know. Raw and SmackDown are considered the main roster, while NXT is a developmental brand that features some veteran wrestlers, too.
While the Evolve brand isn’t on national or worldwide television like the other brands, it is a way for signed WWE superstars and future hopefuls to gain ring experience while working their way up the ladder, so to speak.
Former amateur wrestler Kendal Grey on the Evolve brand has been so impressive that she has even been compared to top WWE women’s wrestler Bianca Belair, who excelled on the main roster after a track-and-field career. There are also people comparing Grey to WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle as well because of how well she’s adapted to pro wrestling.
Kendal Grey Says Goodbye To Evolve While Focusing On WWE NXT
After holding the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship for 146 days (around five months), Kendal Grey relinquished the title since she’s a big part of the WWE NXT brand and has a bright future in the company.
The Evolve brand aired a tribute video to Kendal Grey, who delivered this message to the fans.
“I’m speechless. You know, I just want to say thank you to each and everyone of you for coming out here and supporting me from Day 1. EVOLVE gave me a place to find myself, to find confidence inside and outside of the ring, and I would not be able to do it without any of you guys. So thank you.
And just like I was taking over EVOLVE, I am going to be taking over NXT every Tuesday. Thank you guys, truthfully, thank you.”
In December 2025, 24-year-old Kendal Grey was the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match winner, but she was unable to win the NXT Title from Jacy Jayne. Grey, who is aligned with Wren Sinclair, has told Jayne she is coming for that NXT Women’s Title, and considering how good Grey has already been in her career, it’s a championship she’ll likely win soon.
