Wrestling veteran Jim Ross suffered another health setback recently.

The update comes after the WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator revealed on social media that it was his 22nd day in a hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, after suffering a fall at his home in late May.

Over the last couple of years, JR has dealt with multiple health issues, including a colon cancer diagnosis, for which he underwent surgery.

Also, in July last year, Ross had revealed falling in his hotel room. JR called the experience challenging, considering he did not have his phone at the time, preventing him from calling someone for help.

Despite his health adversities, Jim Ross’ latest tweet on X has one positive, wherein he claims that he is still fighting.

Jim Ross Spoke About Personal Struggles During The Double Or Nothing Weekend

Weeks before AEW Double Or Nothing took place in New York, Jim Ross confirmed that he would be present at the pay-per-view to call one of the matches.

While speaking on an episode of his Grilling JR podcast at the time, Ross detailed the horrific experience of falling at his home before his driver picked him up. The 74-year-old revealed that the fall was bad, resulting in him missing his flight.

So I had the alarm set, the driver’s going to pick me up, and all of a sudden I fell. I hadn’t had a fall in weeks, so I fell and busted my ass. If I had my phone with me, I could’ve gotten help. So as a result of that, I missed my flight.

The AEW commentator ultimately recovered and was able to book another ride. However, his back went out after he reached the hotel, leaving him struggling with pain throughout the weekend.

Then I got to my room on Saturday night, and as you can see, I’m still leery. So I laid on the bed and put my ass on the edge of the bed and just relaxed. But little did I know my back was going to go out on me. So now I’m in the hotel with my back out, and I can’t function. So it was just a horrible experience. And I flew back home on Monday night—but boy, I suffered for a while.

Jim Ross had previously detailed the condition of his health on his podcast, stating that the doctors were worried about dementia or Alzheimer’s. Regardless, he claimed that he was feeling good.

They’re worried about dementia or Alzheimer’s, and I’m like, ‘What the hell are you gonna do about it? There’s not a cure.’

If there’s any medicine I should be taking preventatively, tell me what they are and I’ll do it. But you know, we’ll see how it works out. I’m going through a lot of tests. I don’t feel bad at all—I feel great, actually. But you know, getting old is a b****.
