WTF! Female WWE Star Claims She Retired John Cena

A popular WWE female star surprisingly claimed that she is the one who retired John Cena. The star in question is the Judgment Day member, Roxxane Perez.

After giving fans a lot of great moments and matches throughout his retirement tour in 2025, John Cena finally retired from in-ring competition after tapping out in his last match against Gunther in December last year. Although he has retired from in-ring competition, Cena has made sporadic non-wrestling appearances at WrestleMania 42 and Backlash this year.

Meanwhile, Roxxane Perez beleives that she is the one who retired John Cena. She recently talked about how she was inspired by Cena and The Rock. Reacting to the clip of her statement on the X social media platform, Roxy shared a picture from Survivor Series 2025 where she dropped Cena with a pop rox. She also claimed that she had retired the leader of Cenation with the following statement:

Roxxane Perez actually shared a still from Cena’s match against Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series last year, where Dominik defeated Cena to capture the Intercontinental title with the help of Liv Morgan and Roxxane.

John Cena recently got candid about his retirement from in-ring competition

Speaking with The Takedown of SI recently, John Cena admitted that the new crop of talent is performing in the ring with a speed that is too fast for him. Cena also believes that he could adjust his style according to the new talent:

This new crop of extra talented superstars come up that are performing at a speed like the game just looks too fast for me… because it is. You’re right. I could change my style, but at the risk of ruining that energy that WWE invested in me. And that’s tough because from an ego standpoint, you got to step away from the audience. I love the audience. It’s great.”

However, Cena further confessed that he wanted to step aside so the young superstars could come up:

But man, that’s not respectful to the fans, and it’s not respectful to the company. It’s also not respectful to new talent trying to get an opportunity. Step aside. Let the young superstars come up.”

Fans will have to wait and see when Cena will make his next WWE appearance after showing up at WrestleMania 42 and Backlash 2026.
