Why Becky Lynch Felt “Petrified” Ahead Of WWE Comeback
Becky Lynch returned to WWE at WrestleMania 41 after taking time off after her contract expired in May 2024.
The Man took time off WWE to spend more time with Roux. She explained on WWE Unreal that she felt her daughter was mad at her when she would come home, and spending time with her became the only priority at that point.
In early 2025, Lynch was ready to return to WWE. Triple H and the creative team discussed bringing her back as Lyra Valkyria’s tag team partner for WrestleMania 41.
Becky Lynch was afraid of being booed
During WWE Unreal season 2 episode 1, No Days Off, footage shows Triple H addressing the creative team about The Man’s return. He explained that when Valkyria’s partner is kept a mystery, and fans guess it is Becky Lynch, it won’t be a bad thing. However, Triple H revealed that Becky Lynch had the fear that fans would boo her when she entered the arena, and she would be less over.
She’s petrified she is going to come back and be less over.
While she was afraid of being booed, the exact opposite happened. Before entering the arena, producer TJ Wilson told her that she would smash it, and that is exactly what happened. Fans cheered, they cried tears of joy, and even Seth Rollins became emotional backstage. The crowd pop was better than what anyone expected!
