Vince McMahon “Pushed Through” WrestleMania 39 Match

A new report has suggested that Vince McMahon is in fact behind the WrestleMania match that you would think he is, despite Triple H officially leading WWE’s creative.

Vince McMahon stunned everyone when he forced his way back onto WWE’s Board of Directors in January 2023, bringing his retirement to a similar end to many other wrestling retirements. While McMahon is now Executive Chairman of the company, his role has been described as being to do with media rights deals and a potential sale with creative still overseen by Triple H.

But now it looks like McMahon’s tentacles might be sprawling once again to WWE television after the surprise challenge made by the giant Omos to Brock Lesnar. Lesnar was sold into accepting Omos’ proposal and the two stars will face off when WrestleMania goes Hollywood in April.

WrestleVotes has now reported what many have joked about since the match was announced – that Vince McMahon is behind the bout:

“I’m told the highly anticipated, very compelling Brock Lesnar vs Omos WrestleMania matchup was the idea of one specific, powerful person who pushed it through.”

The current card for WrestleMania 39 looks like this –

  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes – Undisputed WWE Universal Championship
  • Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Rhea Ripley – SmackDown Women’s Championship
  • Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka – Raw Women’s Championship
  • Brock Lesnar vs. Omos
