Not everyone was able to make it to the first episode of RAW after WWE Elimination Chamber.
The first televised WWE show after Elimination Chamber in Montreal was yesterday’s RAW, which emanated from Ottawa. Because both shows emanated from Canada, there was an expectation that there would be more Canadian wrestlers on the show, especially since some talent have difficulties crossing into Canada from other countries.
One person who would’ve been an ideal fit for the February 20th episode of RAW was Canadian wrestler Chelsea Green. It turns out that WWE came up with an interesting way of covering for the real reason she wasn’t at RAW.
The explanation given on RAW was that Chelsea Green somehow ended up in Ottawa, Illinois, instead of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. For anyone curious, the two Ottawas are about 813 miles/1308 kilometers apart.
But according to Fightful Select, this was done because Chelsea Green is stuck in limbo when it comes to traveling between Canada and the United States. Fightful’s report suggests that Green’s paperwork situation restricts her from entering Canada, even though she’s a Canadian citizen. Additionally, this issue has been going on as far back as last summer.
Because she wasn’t able to attend Elimination Chamber or the February 20th edition of RAW, Chelsea Green spent her Monday in New York City attending the screening of a show called “The Last Match: A Pro Wrestling Rock Musical”, which stars her husband Matt Cardona.
