TNA Sources Reveals Real Reason Behind Tommy Dreamer’s Controversial Exit
The real reason behind Tommy Dreamer’s TNA exit has been revealed.
Tommy Dreamer is a well-known name in the world of professional wrestling. He has been a part of the industry for several decades and has wrestled for every major promotion, including ECW, WWE, and TNA Wrestling.
Tommy Dreamer spent the last several years under the TNA banner, where he was an onscreen talent before he transitioned into a creative role. Dreamer was head of creative at the time of his exit from TNA Wrestling a few days ago. At the time, Dreamer said that it was a mutual decision for him to leave the company, even though his emotions didn’t match his statement.
During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer said that it was his job to keep the place going, and he was trying to build a culture. However, he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore, and people are going to realize the change.
“It’s my job to get you where you wanna go and if another company doesn’t want you, then it’s my job to keep this place going — it’s not my job anymore — I tried building a culture and I can’t worry about that anymore, because it is all gonna change, and I hope everyone realizes how much it’s gonna change.” [H/T Ringside News]
Tommy Dreamer’s booking has come under criticism
According to recent reports from False Finish, sources within TNA Wrestling have indicated that Tommy Dreamer’s comments are not true. Dreamer reportedly did not want to build contenders and had control over who got pushed. It is also reported that the culture will change for the better. The booking and creative weren’t good, and a change was needed, especially with TNA’s media rights deal with AMC. Hence, Dreamer’s ouster was needed.
“Sources inside TNA indicate to False Finish that Tommy Dreamer’s statements are not accurate. Dreamer did not want to build contenders and in fact had control of who got pushed. The belief is that the culture will change for the better. The feeling is that the booking and creative wasn’t good and change was needed, especially with the bigger platform of AMC this year”
