It has been over two months since Drew McIntyre was seen on WWE TV.

The Scottish Psychopath wrestled his last match in WWE at WrestleMania 42, and it was an unsanctioned match against Jacob Fatu on night one of the Show of Shows. Fatu was the one who emerged victorious from the bout.

Following his loss at Mania, McIntyre went on hiatus. It was reported that he took some time off from WWE to film his role in the Highlander reboot, which also stars popular Hollywood actor Henry Cavill.

Later, Drew McIntyre’s manager, Nick LoPiccolo, revealed that McIntyre secretly took on another Hollywood project, which has caused his WWE absence to extend. Nick revealed that WWE was gracious enough to grant him additional time off to film another movie.

Drew secretly has another movie in the can, too. That one hasn’t even started annoying people yet. The ledger keeps getting uglier, but let’s not ruin all the surprises. You didn’t even know when Drew was filming Highlander or the secret event movie until now.

Drew is a wrestler first. We respect what WWE wants and where they need him. This new movie is the exception, and they were incredibly gracious. I work around their schedule by default.

Drew McIntyre Will Not Attend The Fanatics Fest In NYC

It was later reported that Drew McIntyre’s new Hollywood project is The Last Druid. Since McIntyre is busy filming another movie, a new report stated that he has been pulled from a major upcoming non-WWE event.

McIntyre was originally advertised for Fanatics Fest in NYC, but PWInsider has reported that he has been pulled from the event due to his filming commitments for The Last Druid.

The Fanatics Fest is set to be held from July 16 to 19 at the Javits Center in New York.
