A WWE legend has dropped a major announcement.

Layla earned herself a WWE contract after winning the Diva Search contest in 2006. However, Layla rose through the ranks to become one of the top women on the roster. During her time in the sports entertainment juggernaut, Layla won the Women’s and Divas Championship.

Her time in WWE is marked by her alliance with Michelle McCool. The two of them were known as LayCool. They terrorized the women’s division at the time and embarrassed anyone who tried to stop them. Towards the end of her run in the Stamford-based promotion, Layla was also a guest on Total Divas. The former Women’s Champion stepped away from the ring in 2015. Since then, she has remained away from the spotlight for the most part.

WWE legend Layla announces a new podcast

Layla recently took to social media to announce that she had just finished editing work for the first episode of the LayTalk podcast. This podcast is aimed at celebrating some of the women of the Divas Era. It will also provide a platform for some of the women to share their untold stories and open up about behind-the-scenes moments from their time in the company.

“Late-night editing session for the first episode of @LayTalkPodcast I’ve decided… I’m just going to go for it. This podcast is about celebrating the women of the Diva Era, sharing untold stories, opening the curtain on what happened behind the scenes, and preserving a piece of wrestling history. Who should be my first guest? And if you could ask a WWE Diva one question, what would it be? Lipstick. Sparkle. Strength. Because being a Diva was never just about the sparkle.” the post’s caption read.

It remains to be seen who will be the first guest on Layla’s new podcast, LayTalk. This will also give fans a good perspective into how WWE’s women’s division has changed over the years.
