Update On Nick Aldis’ WWE Status

Nick Aldis

A new report has shed light on Nick Aldis’ status in WWE following his on-screen debut on SmackDown.

On the season premiere edition of SmackDown, Triple H appeared to make big changes to both the blue brand and Monday Night Raw. Following his work as an on-screen official over the past few years, Adam Pearce was made the official General Manager of Raw while Triple H announced the new SmackDown General Manager as former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis.

Nick Aldis’ first duty in his new role was to complete the trade that took Jey Uso to Monday Night Raw as he welcomed Kevin Owens to SmackDown – a move that Owens has described as “bittersweet.”

Nick Aldis now signed to WWE

Fightful Select has reported that Nick Aldis’ work as a producer in WWE over the summer had been on a trial basis but can now confirm that Aldis has signed a deal with the company which should come as no surprise after his introduction on SmackDown.

It was noted that Aldis was not listed on SmackDown producer reports and it remains to be seen if he’ll be continuing in that role moving forward. Other examples are given of Adam Pearce who has combined his role as an on-screen talent with producing duties while MVP’s producing role ended when he was moved to being an on-screen talent after his return to the company in 2020.

Backstage sources say that Aldis is easy to work with and willing to make the most of his opportunity in WWE, whatever role he ends up in.
