Penelope Ford suffered a legitimate injury on AEW Dynamite.

On February 25, the MegaBad duo of Ford and Megan Bayne were scheduled to take on the Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) for the Women’s World Tag Team Championship.

The match kicked off on a positive note for the babyfaces, but MegaBad soon took over, working especially on Cameron.

Cameron regained the advantage for her team by hitting a DDT to the Megasus. Willow then tagged in and worked on Bayne. She then hit Megan with a German Suplex, but Bayne rolled out of the ring.

Just when it seemed like the Babes of Wrath were inching close to victory, the newest member of MegaBad, Lena Kross, hit Willow in the head with one of the tag titles.

As a result, Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford were disqualified. All this while, Ford remained on the floor because she had sustained an injury, meaning AEW was forced to call an audible.

A post-match beatdown ensued to show the heels as the superior force.

MegaBad Address Penelope Ford’s Injury

After the show’s taping ended on Wednesday, the members of MegaBad cut a promo backstage, which showed Penelope Ford in crutches.

The superstars directly addressed the Babes of Wrath, even acknowledging that Ford was injured.

Bayne: Every time we fought, we’ve taken a piece of you.

Ford: And now, you’ve taken a piece of us. But it will be the last thing you ever do.

Bayne: Unfortunately, destiny has no time limit. You’ve simply delayed the inevitable.

Kross: I am colossal, Lena Kross. Genetically, aesthetically, prophetically, it’s over.

Ford’s situation comes as a setback, especially since she had only returned in January after recovering from an earlier injury.
