Trish Stratus Hints At WWE Comeback

Trish Stratus

Trish Stratus isn’t ready to hang up her boots just yet.

At WrestleMania 39, Trish Stratus returned to the ring for the first time since 2019. The star had returned to television that February and although she was adamant she would only be back for a short time, she worked almost a full-time schedule until September.

On September 2nd at Payback, Stratus and Lynch brought the curtain down on their lengthy feud in a Cage Match which the Irish star won. The match was regarded by many as one of the best of Stratus’ career, leaving fans hoping that it wasn’t her farewell.

Speaking to Alex McCarthy, Stratus gave an update on her current status, admitting that if the creative is good and she’s confident she can still perform, the door remains open.

“I always say if I can check all these boxes. If I can add something different, make something interesting with a unique approach to different characters, then I’ll do it,” she said.

I also say, as long as I can go 100%. I’m never gonna come back and be like, ‘Listen, I’m gonna do this, but I’m only at like 60%, so I’m gonna do only like half my moves.’ I’m not gonna do that. I want to give you 100%. I never know until I get in.

“If the call comes, I’ll have to check those boxes,” she added. “Can I still go? I’ll get in the ring, I’ll see where I’m at, and then see what the idea is. It’s always about creative and making sure that it’s something that will Stratusfy the fans and be something exciting and different.”

Becky Lynch Proud Of Trish Stratus Match

With regard to the Cage Match at Payback, it’s not only WWE fans who look back at the clash fondly. Speaking earlier in January, Becky Lynch said that she was proud of the match, and it stands as one of her career favourites.

Lynch was most recently in action in the women’s Royal Rumble match where she entered at number 21, lasting almost 23 minutes before being eliminated by Jade Cargill and Naomi.
