Tony Khan Announces Match Postponement In Women’s Owen Hart Cup
There’s been a slight change in when a match will take place in the Owen Hart Cup tournament as announced by AEW’s Tony Khan.
Tonight’s episode of AEW Collision was supposed to feature a Women’s Owen Hart Cup semifinal match between Willow Nightingale against Athena. However, that match will not take place as scheduled.
It was announced by AEW’s Owner, CEO & GM Tony Khan that Willow suffered an injury in Japan recently, so she’s unable to compete.
Rather than replace Willow in the tournament, Tony Khan announced that the match will likely take place next Friday on AEW Rampage, which tapes on Wednesday after Dynamite.

Best wishes to Willow Nightingale returning to action for next Wednesday’s Rampage taping.
In addition to Willow Nightingale facing Athena, the other semifinal match will see Ruby Soho (a finalist in the Owen Hart Cup last year) facing Skye Blue. that match will take place on AEW Dynamite next Wednesday, July 12th.
As for the Men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament, the semifinals will take place tonight on AEW Collision from Regina, Saskatchewan. In one of the semifinal matches, Powerhouse Hobbs will face Ricky Starks in a matchup of former allies.
Meanwhile, CM Punk will face off against Samoa Joe in the semifinals as well. It will be their first time wrestling each other since they were in ROH together about 18 years ago.
