Tony Khan Confirms New AEW Star Is Imminent

AEW President Tony Khan

Big Business is coming to AEW and it seems that a new star is coming with it as Tony Khan finally confirms a new arrival in the company.

Former WWE star Mercedes Mone is widely expected to make her AEW debut on March 13th. On that date, AEW Big Business will take place at the TD Arena in Mone’s hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. The company has dropped several hints that Mone will appear at the show, including hiding the word “Bo$$ton” in the background of the event poster, a clear nod to the star’s old ‘Boss’ nickname in WWE when she was known as Sasha Banks.

While AEW has been coy about revealing too much as they were with CM Punk’s arrival in the company back in 2021, Tony Khan has now confirmed a new star is on the way.

Speaking to TV Insider, Tony Khan was outright asked if a new arrival was going to appear on Dynamite Big Business and he confirmed that would be the case:

Of course. I promise I will not disappoint the fans tonight. There has been an influx of huge names, and tonight is the biggest show yet.

Tony Khan Adds Big Names To AEW Roster

Mercedes Mone will be the latest major name to join the AEW roster in recent weeks. Although he signed his AEW deal in November, Revolution saw the official company debut of Will Ospreay. The English star has defeated his fellow Don Callis Family members Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher since joining the roster and Will Ospreay is set for a huge dream match at AEW Dynasty.

AEW also saw the shock arrival of Kazuchika Okada on Dynamite. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion surprised everyone when he joined up with The Young Bucks as the new version of The Elite.
