TNA Cutting “Dead Fat” From Roster Claims Ex-WWE Star
This former WWE star recently promoted Impact’s debut on AMC.
Ash By Elegance (FKA Dana Brooke in WWE) has made a name for herself in TNA as a part of the Elegance Brand faction. Although she is currently medically unfit to wrestle and is awaiting clearance to return to action, Ash was doing media promotions for Impact’s big debut on the major TV network AMC.
Ash has had a lot of success in TNA playing the glamorous, confident heel character, which is a far cry from her loyal, friendly Dana Brooke character in NXT and WWE, who was often overlooked.
Speaking to Busted Open Radio, Ash praised TNA for narrowing down the roster to wrestlers who are really professional and understand how to stick to the clock, which she says is especially important for network shows that air on national television.
Seeing their hard work and seeing our hard work as a TNA roster pay off now on a bigger platform, like AMC… nothing like live national television. That’s a whole different ballgame. It’s not pre-recorded. If you mess something up, it’s not being able to be edited out and that’s how you know who the real team players are and who really is professional and is made for this business.
We always laugh, ‘In five, four, three, two, crash to break.’ You have to hit your times and that’s what makes this roster really stand out. You kind of have to cut off the dead fat and trim off the dead meat, because sometimes people aren’t made for this. Under pressure, they’ll choke and things like that so, we’ve really narrowed it down to such an awesome roster that puts in the work, that understands the business.
That’s not only in front of the camera but works behind the scenes because you get text messages at 9 PM, ‘Hey, can you post this? Hey, can you jump on this interview?’ And that’s all part of the game and what has built TNA to be able to land this amazing deal with AMC.
