THIS CM Punk Claim Amid His WWE Absence Will Blow Your Minds

A massive claim has been made about CM Punk amid his absence from WWE TV.

CM Punk had a highly acclaimed World Heavyweight title reign for months, which culminated in a night 2 main event at WrestleMania 42, where he defended the title against Roman Reigns. The match was universally praised as one of the best Mania main events of all time, as both the top stars gave it their all. At the end of a great main event, Roman managed to defeat Punk and capture the World Heavyweight Championship.

Following his loss, CM Punk made an appearance on the RAW after WrestleMania 42, where he had a segment with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. However, Punk has not been on TV for over four weeks now, and fans are already anticipating his return to action after the setback at Mania.

A huge claim has been made regarding CM Punk’s WWE absence

Speaking on The Coach & Bro Show recently, Vince Russo blasted WWE for CM Punk’s current absence. Jonathan Coachman replied to Russo with a huge claim that Punk doesn’t care about being on TV as long as he is getting his paycheck, citing the Second City Saint’s interview from last year, where he said that he doesn’t care if he is first or last on the card, because he will get paid the same amount:

Here’s the crazy part, Vince. I don’t think he cares. Because remember the interview he did a few months back. Remember that? When he said, ‘I don’t care if I’m on the first, last, I get paid the same. There’s no more bonuses. There’s no more pay-per-view money. There’s none of that. I get paid a salary, every two weeks that check comes, every week that check comes.’

Jonathan Coachman further added that CM Punk has no problem if he isn’t being used by WWE on TV, as he is 46-years-old:

So he’s probably like, ‘I’m 46 years old. They don’t want to use me? No problem.’ I’ll be honest with you. That’s how I would be. You’re going to pay me that much money to not work, stay home with my wife. Oh, hell yeah. I’ll do that all day.

It remains to be seen when the Best in the World will be back on TV.
