Thekla Set For First AEW Women’s World Title Defense Next Week On Dynamite
The AEW Women’s World Champion recently changed hands after the title was defended by Kris Statlander at AEW Dynamite in Ontario, California, earlier this month.
After feuding with Statlander for weeks, Thekla finally got her hands on the World Championship for the first time in her All Elite career after defeating Kris in a Strap Match.
Following her win, Thekla is yet to wrestle a match in the promotion, but that will all change next week. The champion is set for her first title defense next week on Dynamite.
AEW Women’s Championship to be defended next week on Dynamite
The Toxic Spider will face former Women’s Champion, Thunder Rosa, in her home state of Texas as the promotion hosts next week’s episode live from the Don Haskins Center in El Paso.
Rosa made her return to the promotion last week and recently wrestled on Collision last week, where she defeated Thekla’s stablemate, Julia Hart. This was her first match since wrestling in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In Texas last year.
