The Rock Concert Steals The Show On WWE SmackDown (VIDEO)

The Rock on WWE SmackDown

Twenty-one years after The Rock first took to the WWE ring for a concert, he has gone back to that well once again to address his WrestleMania opponents.

Before WrestleMania 19, the first Rock Concert took place in a WWE ring when The Rock took aim at his old rival Stone Cold Steve Austin – and the Sacramento Kings – with a guitar hand signed by Willie Nelson himself. In the end, The Texas Rattlesnake intervened taking out The People’s Champ to the delight of the crowd.

Since then The Rock has gone back to that well again with varying degrees of success. It was the second Rock Concert that saw Goldberg make his WWE debut leading to a match between the two wrestling icons.

Almost a decade later The Rock reprised the idea for his feud with John Cena but Cena’s scathing freestyle as he returned to being the Dr. of Thuganomics for one night somewhat overshadowed The Great One’s musical stylings.

The Rock Concert Lights Up SmackDown

Now 21 years after the first one, WWE went back to the well once again as The Rock sang at Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins ahead of WrestleMania 40. The Rock will team with Roman Reigns against the pair in a huge tag team match on the grandest stage of them all. The song got everyone talking as long-time fans lauded the previously beloved segment and WWE released the full concert on social media.

Reports have suggested The Rock has wielded influence over the 2024 class for the WWE Hall of Fame. It is believed The Rock’s grandmother will be the final inductee announced for the Class of 2024.
