The Judgment Day May Be Removing Key Name From Group

A new report reveals that one member of WWE’s The Judgment Day may be removed from the group.

If you watch WWE’s Monday Night Raw with any regularity then you know that The Judgment Day believes they run that show. Rhea Ripley is the Women’s World Champion, Dominik Mysterio holds the NXT North American Title, Damian Priest is “Senor” Money in the Bank and Finn Balor has challenged Seth “Freakin” Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title on multiple occasions as well.

This past Monday on the August 14th edition of Raw, the main event of the show saw Cody Rhodes defeat Finn Balor due to some miscommunication involving The Judgment Day. However, after the match, The Judgment Day had a bit of an assist from Balor’s good friend JD McDonagh, which led to the group destroying Cody and Sami Zayn to end the show.

Over the past month, The Judgment Day has had some issues, especially in the case of Balor and Priest due to their competitiveness over the World Heavyweight Title. Balor has felt that Priest cost him the World Heavyweight Title on multiple occasions.

In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that there is a plan to remove Priest from the group while McDonagh could be added to it.

“While this could easily change, the long-term plan is Priest out of Judgment Day. Whether that means McDonagh is in, that’s a probable but not 100 percent.”

As always with these types of things, plans can change and there’s no indication of when this might happen. Priest was part of the original incarnation of The Judgment Day that was formed by Edge following WrestleMania 38 in 2022. Ripley would join next, then Balor and Dominik officially joined the group in September 2022.

There have been rumors for months that McDonagh could be aligned with The Judgment Day due to his closeness with Balor. McDonagh was drafted to Raw this past spring in the most recent WWE Draft.

The Judgment Day’s Ripley & Mysterio Wrestling At NXT Heatwave

While The Judgment Day continues to “run Raw” as best they can, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio also appear regularly on NXT since Dominik holds the NXT North American Title.

In a match officially announced this past Tuesday on NXT, Rhea & “Dirty” Dom will team up at NXT Heatwave on Tuesday, August 22nd to face the team of Dragon Lee & Lyra Valkyria in a mixed tag team match.

With descension more apparent than ever, the group may be appearing to split very soon.
