The new AEW Tag Team Champions, The Gunns, have re-signed with the company according to a report that comes just days after the biggest win of their careers.

In the main event of the February 8th edition of AEW Dynamite, The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) defended the AEW Tag Team Titles against The Gunns (Colten & Austin Gunn).

The match was set up one week earlier when The Gunns issued a challenge that was accepted by The Acclaimed’s friend Billy Gunn, who just so happens to be the Hall of Fame father of Colten & Austin.

It was a match that had a controversial ending because Colten hit Bowens in the head with a belt (the referee didn’t see it) and Austin did a rollup on Bowens for the pinfall win and the shocking title change. The Gunns left Dynamite as the new AEW Tag Team Champions, which was their first title win during their careers.

It has been reported by Fightful Select that Austin & Colten Gunn recently re-signed with AEW. Austin signed with AEW in January 2020 while Colten joined the company after that.

The exact set of terms of the deal were not revealed, but it is believed that Colten & Austin signed long-term deals to remain in AEW.

During their AEW careers, The Gunns have also had other names for their team such as Gunn Club and Ass Boys, which is based on the fact that Billy Gunn was known as “Mr. Ass” for a period of his WWE career. These days, AEW simply calls them The Gunns as a team that’s currently holding the AEW Tag Team Titles.
