The Elite Double Down On CM Punk Chants

The Elite

The Elite have gone to the same well once again on Being The Elite as they draw attention one more time to the “f*ck CM Punk” chants.

The Elite trio of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks returned to AEW television at Full Gear where they unsuccessfully challenged Death Triangle for the AEW Trios Championship. Their return was greeted with a huge ovation and the fans in Newark made their feelings on what happened after All Out very clear as they chanted “f*ck CM Punk.”

Those chants seemed to be highlighted on Being The Elite after they competed in Punk’s hometown of Chicago on Dynamite, it seems The Young Bucks and Omega have focussed their attention on those chants once again.

The Chicago crowd audibly booed the group and chanted for CM Punk during their entrance, but The Elite had more up their sleeve during their best-of-seven series bout with Death Triangle. During the match, Kenny Omega used CM Punk’s Go To Sleep taunt before hitting PAC with the move. In reference to Ace Steel supposedly biting Omega during the fight, Omega was also seen biting the former All-Atlantic Champion.

Not to be left out, Matt Jackson fell to the mat when attempting to connect with Hangman Page’s Buckshot Lariat. Many have taken this as a dig at Punk, following his failure to hit the move in his AEW World Title match with Page at Double Or Nothing.

On the latest Being The Elite, the trio focussed on the “f*ck CM Punk” chants in Chicago that came during the match following the initial “f*ck The Elite” chants that greeted The Bucks and Omega.

Another AEW star has seemingly indicated that CM Punk is no longer in AEW and their feud with the star had to be scrapped.
