Sol Ruca’s NXT Women’s Championship Dream Crumbles After Stunning Betrayal

One of the most anticipated matches of WWE NXT tonight was Jacy Jayne’s defense of the NXT Women’s Championship against Sol Ruca, after the latter had earned the right to be the number one contender.

Sol Ruca got her shot at the title ahead of her tag team partner, Zaria, leading to increased friction between the two women. They butted heads for weeks before things almost turned sour last week.

After it looked like ZaRuca was officially done, Zaria came out to Sol Ruca’s help last week, and the two hugged in the middle of the ring, indicating that their team is still going strong.

Sol Ruca walked down the ring with Zaria for her match with Jacy Jayne tonight. She was focused on winning the NXT Women’s Championship, but the chance was taken away from her.

Before the match began, Zaria turned on her longtime friend and hit her with a spear before hitting her with an F5, officially turning heel in the process. Jayne took advantage of the situation and hit her with a dicuss forearm smash just as the bell rang.

Jayne picked up an easy win over Ruca thanks to the attack from Zaria. Following Sol’s loss, Zaria continued her assault on her former friend amid ringing boos from the NXT Universe.
