AEW Dynasty airs live tonight from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, making it the first-ever All Elite pay-per-view to take place in the Terminal City.

The promotion’s second PPV of the year was off to an amazing start as Mercedes Mone’s former partner made a shocking return to the company tonight during the Zero Hour show.

After an exciting pre-show that saw two title defenses, the main show started with a bang, as it was the former AEW EVPs, The Young Bucks, in tag team action.

After Kyle Fletcher suffered an unfortunate injury recently, Don Callis announced a major match for Dynasty, which saw Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada team up to take on the Young Bucks.

The Young Bucks start AEW Dynasty with a win

Both members of the Don Callis Family were on the same page for most of the match, which came as a slight surprise given their animosity toward one another. They were dominating the Bucks for large parts of their bout.

Both Okada and Takeshita exchanged some blows with each other in the match to let out some steam after not being able to put The Bucks away. However, right after that, they took each other out with their respective finishers.

Takeshita tried to hit one of the Jackson brothers with a knee, but instead hit Okada by mistake. Okada followed it up with what seemed like an intentional Rainmaker to his partner.

This confusion allowed the Bucks to hit a BTE on Okada, and they were about to follow it up with a Meltzer Driver, but Takeshita grabbed Nick Jackson’s foot to stop him. He then let him go and walked away from the fight, allowing his partner to be pinned, leaving Don Callis livid.
