Shock AEW Heel Turn Rocks Beloved Group On Dynamite

From day one in AEW one group has had each other’s back without fail but now it seems things have fallen apart for Best Friends.

Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta’s partnership dates back longer than AEW has been in existence and when they joined Tony Khan’s company they teamed up with Orange Cassidy to form a popular group. Stars such as Kris Statlander, Wheeler Yuta, Danhausen, and Rocky Romero have been associated with Best Friends over the last five years but now it seems a fracture has ripped the group apart.

On Dynamite in Worcester, Best Friends’ Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta took on The Young Bucks in the semi-final of the AEW Tag Team Title tournament. The Bucks stole a win after Matthew Jackson sent Beretta into the exposed turnbuckle before rolling up with a schoolboy to claim the victory and a shot at the AEW Tag Team Title at Dynasty.

Trent Beretta Breaks AEW Fan’s Hearts

After the match, Trent Beretta was visibly frustrated as the group were joined by his mother Sue who was watching on from the ramp. Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy signalled for the trio to go to their corners as they were set to give the people what they want with their hug but Beretta had other ideas. As the three men moved to the middle of the ring, Beretta charged at Cassidy laying him out with a huge knee.

Chuck Taylor looked stunned but Beretta just walked past him and left the ring also charging past Sue who seemed shocked at what her son had just done.

Also on Dynamite, Mercedes Mone confirmed when her first AEW match will take place as she sets her sights on championship gold.
