Sasha Banks Confirmed To Be In Japan Amidst NJPW Debut Rumors
There is now official confirmation that Sasha Banks has made the trip to Japan, further fuelling speculation that she is set to appear at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom.
The highlight of the Japanese wrestling calendar, there’s plenty already confirmed for NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom this year, with the co-main events set to be Will Ospreay defending the IWGP United States Championship against former title holder Kenny Omega, and Jay White putting the IWGP World Championship on the line against ‘The Rainmaker’ Kazuchika Okada.
However, the rumors have built and built over the last month that Sasha Banks is set for a return to wrestling at the event. Now, we at least know she is in the country before the end of 2022.
A post on Twitter by musician Tomoro has shown Banks celebrating his birthday together, proving that she is already in Japan.
Sasha Banks and Naomi have not appeared on WWE programming since walking out before the 16th May episode of Monday Night Raw, where they also reportedly handed their Women’s Tag Team Championships to John Laurinaitis before leaving the building. They were later stripped of their titles, and neither have appeared on WWE or any other wrestling programming since, although there has recently also been rumors that Banks could be on her way to AEW.
