Rusev On Scaring Young WWE Fan: “It Was His Fault”

Rusev

Rusev is not someone to be messed with.

During the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in November, a young wrestling fan found it out the hard way.

On the fateful evening, the Bulgarian Brute challenged Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship, with Penta also added to the mix in a 3-way match, which came about after weeks of tension between them.

Expectedly, Rusev used his size to his advantage, dominating both his opponents with several hard-hitting shots.

Within the first few minutes, the action moved outside the ring. As the Bulgarian stepped aside for a breather, a young fan poked and cheered him on.

Maintaining his heel persona, he screamed at the fan, startling the child. The moment gained instant traction, with the wrestler even sharing an Instagram story about it, captioned, “You reach, I teach.

Rusev Faults Young Fan After Viral WWE Moment

Instances of fans reaching out for their favorite wrestlers are not uncommon, but it can lead to awkward moments.

Ahead of last year’s Clash in Paris, former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley called out fans for charging at her, which created a not-so-memorable moment for The Eradicator.

While the incident involving Rusev was playful, it is not really advisable to engage with a wrestler while they are competing.

While speaking in Chris Van Vliet’s Insight, the 40-year-old star was asked about the viral WWE moment. He claimed that he noticed seeing the fan panic, but blamed it on the kid in a true heel fashion.

I did. I did see he panicked, but it was his fault. At the end of the day, it’s like, you can’t blame me for that. I think I met him earlier backstage, and maybe that’s what made him so comfortable. That’s what I keep thinking.

But then you can’t just be so comfortable to touch the animals, you can’t reach in the cage. And if your dad didn’t teach you that, your mom didn’t teach you that, I will. I always said don’t touch me kid, and he’s like ah! It was the most shocking face I’ve ever seen. Like before, they used to replay when The Undertaker lost. This is probably the next thing close to it.
