Roxanne Perez Had “No Idea” About WWE’s Jordynne Grace Plans

Roxanne Perez has revealed that she was unaware ahead of Jordynne Grace’s recent surprise NXT appearance.

Current TNA Knockouts Champion Grace emerged from backstage as the surprise contender for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Battleground during the 28th May edition of NXT.

During a recent chat with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Perez opened up about her initial reaction when hearing Grace’s music:

“Literally, ‘Oh sh*t.’ I was like, ‘What is going on right now?’ I was ready for it. I was ready for her to come out there and to put myself to the test against her.”

Perez would go on to reveal that she was not made aware of the WWE return of TNA Superstar Grace, whose only previous WWE appearance came during the 2024 Royal Rumble match:

“I had no idea it was going to be Jordynne. The weeks leading up to it, I was pretty excited to see who I was going to face and who was going to step inside the ring with me. It ended up being Jordynne Grace.

That was not even one of the name that crossed my mind because she is with TNA. It’s so cool that we get to make this history and be part of some ground breaking stuff.”

Roxanne Perez Bout Amongst Five Title Clashes At Battleground

The NXT Women’s Championship bout between Perez and Grace is one of five highly anticipated title matches set to take place at NXT Battleground on 9th June.

The event is set to emanate from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be headlined by Trick WIlliams vs Ethan Page for the NXT Championship.
