Roxanne Perez has nothing but positive things to say about Mandy Rose following the NXT Women’s Title change that occurred recently.

The NXT Women’s Title changed hands on December 13th when Roxanne Perez challenged Mandy Rose for the championship in the main event. The match was originally going to take place at New Year’s Evil on January 10th, but WWE chose to change those plans.

Perez ended up getting the win clean with the Pop Rox move and she won the NXT Women’s Title, much to the delight of the crowd. It was the end of Rose’s impressive 413-day title reign. The next day, Rose was fired by WWE, which is why Perez won the title on that day instead of perhaps a month later at New Year’s Evil.

A story that made a lot of headlines in the last ten days is about how Mandy Rose was fired by WWE for posting explicit content on a fan subscription page. When WWE found out how explicit has been on her subscription, they felt like they had no choice, but to release Rose because it was against company policy.

In an interview with WWE on BT Sport, Roxanne Perez praised Mandy Rose for always being good to her while calling her one of the best people she’s ever met.

“You know, Mandy is so amazing. She honestly is one of the best and sweetest humans I’ve ever met. Since the moment I stepped into NXT…it’s nerve-racking to be surrounded by people you’ve been inspired by. And one of my first few matches was against her for the NXT women’s championship. She’s always been so sweet to me. She’s always given me the best advice.”

“Before and after the match, she gave me a big hug. We were both crying together. It was cool because she was really happy that she was able to pass it down to me. I’ve gotten so close to her within the last few months. No matter what, she’s going to be amazing and do amazing things.”
