Roman Reigns Set For Upcoming WWE Raw Appearance

Roman Reigns is a Smackdown guy in WWE, but there are times when he appears on Raw including an upcoming appearance on the road to WrestleMania.

When the WWE Draft took place in October 2019, Roman Reigns was drafted to Smackdown in part because that was when the blue brand moved to the FOX television network. WWE wanted Reigns, who was arguably the company’s biggest star at the time, on the brand with the biggest audience. Reigns has remained a key figure on Smackdown ever since.

In August 2020, Reigns won the WWE Universal Title and has held it for nearly 900 days (about two and a half years). At WrestleMania 38 in 2022, Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Title and become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Since Roman Reigns is a Smackdown guy, the presence of the WWE Title is on Raw far less than most people would like. Reigns was on Raw on January 23rd for the Trial of Sami Zayn segment that drew great ratings in the first hour of the show, but otherwise, he remains off Raw for the most part.

Looking ahead, Reigns will be in the main event of Elimination Chamber next Saturday, February 18th when he defends his two championships against Sami Zayn. Whoever leaves Elimination Chamber as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion will have to defend those championships against Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 on April 1st or 2nd.

Roman Reigns has been added to the March 20th edition of Raw at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis. The announcement was made on the Enterprise Center’s Twitter account. That’s the second last Raw before WrestleMania 39. Reigns is not currently advertised for Raw events going into WrestleMania, but that could change in the weeks ahead.
