Roman Reigns Appearing on “Season Premiere” of SmackDown

Any speculation about a return date is over, as ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns has officially been confirmed for next week’s SmackDown.

The last time Roman Reigns put the gold on the line was at SummerSlam 2023, where the family rivalry came to a head as he defeated Jey Uso. His last appearance was on the following week’s edition of SmackDown, where he took a superkick from Uso who then “quit” WWE.

There has been plenty of speculation that Crown Jewel would be the next logical time for ‘The Tribal Chief’ to defend his title. With the event taking place in Saudi Arabia on November 4th, there would need to be some kind of build in to his potential match.

WWE Officially Confirms Return Of Roman Reigns

Whilst some arenas had already started advertising that ‘The Head Of The Table’ would be appearing in their venues later this month, including The BOK Center in Tulsa where the 13th October edition of SmackDown will take place, there had been no official word from WWE on the matter.

However, it has now been confirmed that Roman Reigns will make his return in Oklahoma next Friday.

This would lead nicely in to Roman Roman Reigns having a month of television before going in to a title defense. As for a potential opponent at Crown Jewel, it could be former rival AJ Styles, who Reigns feuded with back in 2016. Styles has recently been involved in Smackdown storylines with Roman’s cousins Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso, so that could lead to the Tribal Chief coming back to deal with Styles.

However, one man it seems unlikely to be is John Cena, as reports of a match between the two have since been debunked.
