Roman Reigns Praised As “Best In The Business” By WWE Hall Of Famer
The “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns has been acknowledged by a legendary WWE Hall of Famer.
For the past 11 years, Roman Reigns has been a main-event performer who has solidified his status as one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time.
At WrestleMania 42, Roman Reigns beat CM Punk in an incredible match that was Roman’s 11th WrestleMania main event, which is an all-time record.
Winning at WrestleMania 42 also meant that Roman Reigns became a 7-time WWE World Champion. This was his first World Title win since losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40 in 2024, which put an end to his incredible 1,316-day reign as champion.
While Roman Reigns likes to have his family members “acknowledge him” on WWE television since he’s the Tribal Chief, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T praised Roman as the best in the business on his Hall of Fame podcast.
“I think Roman’s the best in the business right now. I mean, I really do. I know people talking about El Grande Americano One and Two, and how great those guys are as workers. Yeah, they’re some of the best workers that we’ve ever seen in this industry. They really, truly are. But I’m not looking at Roman Reigns in that same aspect, as far as what I mean about Roman.
It’s like the air. You can feel it, but you can’t see it, but you know it’s there. And you know he’s a star. When he walks out of the curtain, he’s a star. Everybody that he works with, he makes them bigger stars than they were before they walked into that ring.”
The NXT announcer Booker T continued to praise Reigns.
“It’s in his DNA, and it’s in his blood. But to go out there and bring that performance as he does, you know, like I say, over these last five years or so, man, it’s been incredible what this dude has done inside the middle of that ring. I give him major, major props.” (h/t WrestlingInc)
Roman Reigns Is The Dream Opponent For Trick Williams
Booker T isn’t the only one praising Roman Reigns these days. The United States Champion Trick Williams also named Reigns as one of his dream matches, along with Gunther and Booker T.
“There’s three of them that I want. First, I’m going to go with GUNTHER, because I feel like he’s the best heel in the game today. GUNTHER’s special, man. I love the way he works, I love the way he moves. The General, I just think he’s dope.
Booker T, of course. The honor it would be to be his, maybe, possibly, his last match. I just think that would be amazing. I would love to work against Booker T, it’d be great.
Thirdly, the Tribal Chief, the real one, Roman Reigns. I believe he’s the most overall complete superstar in the game today. That’s where I want to be, I want to be the best in the game, so I need to go against the best. That’s the match that I want.”
Roman Reigns is not expected to be part of the WWE Night of Champions PLE on June 27th, but he will likely have a huge match at SummerSlam on August 1st or August 2nd.
