Ric Flair Thanks The Rock As Biopic In The Works

The Rock Ric Flair

The Rock is dipping back into the world of wrestling for his production company’s next project as they are set to make a film about Ric Flair.

According to a new report from The Wrap, Seven Bucks Productions is working on a Ric Flair biopic. The Rock, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia will produce for Seven Bucks alongside Misher Films’ Kevin Misher. The two parties have worked together previously on Fighting With My Family.

In a statement, The Rock discussed how Flair played an important role in his fandom, describing the new project as personal:

As a kid who grew up in professional wrestling, I idolized, ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair. He was a hero to me. And once I broke into the wrestling business and began to spill my own sweat and blood – my reverence for Ric turned to respect.

Because I realized just how rare and impossible it is to disrupt the wrestling business, culture and truly change the game – and that’s exactly what Ric Flair did. This project is personal, and we can’t wait to tell his unbelievable story. As always, thank you for the house, Ric.

Ric Flair Responds To The Rock

Now Ric Flair has taken to social media to offer his thanks to The Rock, noting that the film was a dream of a lifetime:

Thank You @TheRock For This Incredible Opportunity. Your Friendship Means The World To Me! This Is Truly The Dream Of A Lifetime! WOOOOO! @SevenBucksProd

The Rock responded, noting that it was all possible because of the life and career Flair has had:

You’re welcome brother and our friendship means the world to me as well. Remember, this is all possible not because of anything I’m doing – it’s all possible because of everything YOU accomplished in our business of pro wrestling. Honored to bring your unbelievable life to the big screen. Let’s get to work. WOO! @SevenBucksProd

Ric Flair returned to AEW television on Dynamite in Tulsa, OK after a few weeks away. The Nature Boy looks like he might have issues with Sting as Ric Flair had a meeting with The Young Bucks after expressing how unhappy he is about how he’s been used in AEW.
