BREAKING: Tony Khan Buries Top AEW Star Just Days Before Redemption 2026
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite served as the go-home edition of the first-ever edition of AEW Redemption, set for this Sunday.
The night was kicked off with a massive title match after Darby Allin had been hunting Kevin Knight for the last few weeks since returning.
Knight turned on Darby at AEW Double or Nothing and things have been heated between the two ever since. Allin challenged for Knight’s TNT Title tonight.
Both men wrestled an extremely entertaining but a hard-hitting match that saw both men be extremely spent by the end of it. Allin attacked The Jet even before the man entered the ring.
After Knight hesitated from getting inside the ring, Darby leapt outside the ring as he hit a suicide dive on the TNT Champion.
AEW Dynamite kicks off with TNT Title defense
He attacked with intent, even flowing off the top of the ring post, onto a knackerd Knight was was resting off the top of the barricade.
The two friends-turned-bitter rivals traded momentum throughout the match before their brawling caused the referee to be knocked out.

Kevin then picked up the TNT Title and went to attack him with the belt, but Darby reversed it and hit him with the Scorpion Death Drop. He then hesitated as he looked to use the title on Knight.
He refused to use the title and went up the top rope for the Coffin Drop. However, a recovered Knight pushed him off the top, causing him to hang upside down, hanging from the top rope.
The Jet went to the adjacent turnbuckle and hit a Coast-to-Coast, knocking Allin out. He then climbed the top rope to hit the UFO Splash on him to pick up the win.
