Why Stephanie Vaquer Wanted To Lose Women’s World Title At WWE WrestleMania
Stephanie Vaquer lost her Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42.
Stephanie Vaquer has been on a meteoric rise ever since she made her WWE debut in NXT. She quickly rose to the top of the black and silver brand.
Her impressive performances in NXT earned her a main roster call-up. After arriving on the main roster, it didn’t take her long to win the Women’s World Championship. She held the title for several months. Earlier this year, Vaquer was involved in a heated and personal rivalry with Liv Morgan that culminated in a title match at WrestleMania 42. During the match, both women gave it their all. However, it was Liv Morgan who emerged victorious. Since this loss, Stephanie has not been seen on WWE TV as she has taken time off to heal from her injuries.
It was Stephanie Vaquer’s decision to lose the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42
During the latest season of WWE Unreal, Stephanie Vaquer addressed her loss to Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42. She got emotional as she said that it was the perfect time for her to lose the title since her body is banged up from several years of in-ring work. She said that she has worked nonstop for 10 years before she got to WWE, and that has taken a toll on her. She also said that she has been running on adrenaline for several years, and it was the perfect time to slow things down and focus on her health.
“To be honest, today was the perfect time to lose the title. It’s the perfect time because I believe that I believe my body is asking for a break. [crying] Sorry. Sorry. I have too many years fighting and no stop. And I didn’t take care of my body as much. I’ve been in WWE for a year and a half, and I’ve done a lot of things, but before I got here, it was ten years of nonstop work. So I think it’s the perfect time, because things happen for a reason. It’s the perfect time for me to take care of my health and to slow things down a little because I’ve been running on adrenaline for many years. Wrestlers….we’re flesh and blood. If I had to draw each one of my scars like my makeup, I wouldn’t have any more body left to draw on or put on more makeup” [Translated from Spanish]
