Rhea Ripley Has Only Scratched The Surface Says WWE Hall Of Famer
According to The Undertaker, Rhea Ripley is coming into her own.
Coming out of WrestleMania 40 with a victory over Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley was one of the most dominant champions in all of WWE, having held the Women’s World Championship for over a year.
Unfortunately, disaster struck the very next night on Raw. Ripley was attacked backstage by Liv Morgan, who rammed The Nightmare’s shoulder into a wall. Following the show, it was reported that the star had suffered a real injury during the segment.
The following week, fans’ fears were confirmed when Rhea Ripley vacated the Women’s World Championship due to an AC joint sprain. The injury could reportedly leave the star on the sidelines for up to four months.
On his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker gave his take on Ripley’s year as champion, saying that she’s “only scratched the surface” of just how good she can be.
“She’s really coming into her own. She’s obviously had a nice year, but I think she’s only scratched the surface of how good she’s going to be.”
On the April 22nd edition of Raw, Becky Lynch won a Battle Royal to crown the new Women’s World Champion, potentially setting up a rematch between her and Ripley when the former champion makes her return.
The Undertaker Is Proud Of Bayley
On the same podcast, Undertaker praised another WrestleMania winner in new WWE Women’s Champion Bayley. The Deadman is proud of The Role Model, saying he was glad to see her “get her flowers” in her victory over IYO SKY.
“I’m so proud of her because she kind of got stuck in a slot for a while, and a lot of times when that happens, sometimes people kind of give up and they kind of just end up and be content at that mid-card range.
“So I was happy. I was really happy for Bayley to get her flowers there and show there’s a lot of gas left in the tank there.”
