Rey Fenix will no longer be part of AEW All In.

On the August 16th episode of AEW Dynamite, Orange Cassidy successfully defended his International Championship against Wheeler Yuta, but he received a beatdown from Yuta and his Blackpool Combat Club allies in the aftermath. Best Friends came out to make the save for Cassidy, and they were soon joined by a returning Eddie Kingston along with The Lucha Brothers.

Kingston declared that at AEW All In, he and The Lucha Brothers would team up with Cassidy and Best Friends to take on Blackpool Combat Club and three allies of their choosing in a Stadium Stampede match.

During a media call ahead of the event, Tony Khan indicated that he expected changes to be made to the All In card due to “real life events,” and according to a new report from Fightful Select, Rey Fenix will no longer be part of the multi-man spectacular as he’s been pulled from the show.

Is Rey Fenix Injured?

According to the report, sources indicated that Fenix being pulled from the show was due to visa and travel complications rather than him being injured, though this was unable to be confirmed. The report notes that plans are in place within the company to explain Fenix’s absence from the match.

It’s unclear at this time whether Fenix will be replaced in the Stadium Stampede match or whether the number of competitors in the match will be adjusted. At this time, Blackpool Combat Club have not chosen partners in the match, so adjustments are well within the realm of possibility.
