Report Reveals Why Andrade Was Fired By WWE

Andrade El Idolo

For the second time, Andrade El Idolo is All Elite.

On the October 1 edition of Dynamite, Andrade made history when he re-signed with AEW. By way of a second shocking debut with the company, he became the first wrestler to jump from WWE to AEW, and back to WWE before returning to AEW.

After securing victory in the opening match alongside Brodido, Kenny Omega thanked fans on Dynamite’s sixth anniversary. As Omega signed off, the lights went off, and Andrade appeared in his mask and quickly dropped the former AEW World Champion.

The former AEW star then shook hands with Don Callis as he joined the family.

Why Did WWE Fire Andrade?

While fans weren’t especially surprised to see Andrade return to the company, the speed of his comeback certainly came as a shock. Talents who are released by WWE tend to be under 90-day non-compete clauses, but here that wasn’t the case.

A new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider has claimed that this is because the star was cut “outright” from his WWE deal. This made him a free agent immediately. The blunt course of action was taken after WWE essentially ran out of patience with the former NXT Champion following “numerous” wellness policy violations during the past year.

According to a report from Dave Meltzer, AEW is “asking for trouble” by bringing Andrade back. As noted by Meltzer, people who know the star claimed that he’ll always see Tony Khan and AEW as less than WWE.
