A new update has emerged in Ludwig Kaiser’s ongoing legal case, where he has been accused of battery.

On May 20, the former WWE Speed Champion was arrested in Florida after a man named Richard Reap accused him of physically attacking him during an altercation that occurred on April 23.

Kaiser was released from jail after posting a $1,000 bond. He also pleaded “not guilty,” while his lawyers asked for leniency in his international travel restrictions.

After being bailed out, the 35-year-old attended a free fan event in Mexico City called “Serenata Para: El Grande Americano” (A Serenade for El Grande Americano) on May 21.

Ludwig Kaiser, who competes under the guise of El Grande Americano on WWE Raw and in AAA Lucha Libre, also wrestled in a Mask vs. Mask match at Noche de Los Grandes on May 30.

Digital Evidence Of Assault Handed Over To Ludwig Kaiser’s Team

When Ludwig Kaiser pleaded “not guilty,” his team also asked for any digital evidence that might exist about the incident.

According to the latest report by Ringside News, a new court filing dated June 1 revealed that the State of Florida has granted Kaiser’s team access to digital evidence related to the case.

The filing claimed that the evidence was handed over to the defense attorney Thomas Sommerville via an electronic link, with access available for 90 days.

The State emailed the defendant a link that grants access to [email protected] items of digital evidence on 06/01/2026. The link in the email will expire within 90 days.

The prosecutors further noted that some of the data may contain additional location-based information, and it might not immediately appear after reviewing downloaded files.

Please note that some videos may contain geolocating information that may not be visible in the downloaded videos.

Ludwig Kaiser is expected to make a court appearance on July 16 for a pre-trial conference. The court filings also contain the trial dates mentioned as the period from August 10 through August 28, if the case is not resolved until then, that is.

Ludwig Kaiser Unmasked The OG El Grande Americano At Noche De Los Grandes

At Noche de Los Grandes, the German wrestler competed in arguably the biggest match of his wrestling career.

Since January, he had been involved in a feud with the “Original” El Grande Americano (Chad Gable), who returned from a months-long injury at the Royal Rumble.

They carried over their rivalry to AAA Lucha Libre, where new emotions unraveled every week, making their feud more personal.

It prompted Kaiser to try to put a stop to their conflict once and for all, as he challenged OG in a Mask vs. Mask match at the May 30 event.

The match itself was fought for over 30 minutes, with the wrestlers using every piece of equipment available at their disposal. The intense match-up also saw them bleed at different points during the bout.

In the end, it was Kaiser’s El Grande Americano who emerged victorious after hitting a flying headbutt. OG was thus unmasked, with his identity now revealed as Chad Gable.

It remains to be seen where Kaiser lands next in terms of his Americano storyline. There is the possibility of him challenging Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship.
