Ludwig Kaiser Fails To Hold Back Tears In First AAA Appearance After Arrest
Ludwig Kaiser was recently arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge.
On May 20, 2026, the wrestling community was shocked when Kaiser’s real-life mugshot surfaced online. According to reports, he was booked into an Orange County, Florida jail on a misdemeanor battery charge after allegedly attacking his neighbor on April 23 at his Orlando apartment complex over being called out for aggressive PDA.
When he discovered that there was a warrant out for his arrest while he was already in Mexico doing promotional work for AAA, he immediately flew back to Orlando and voluntarily turned himself in to address the legal matter.
In his defense, Kaiser submitted a written plea of not guilty, arguing that he was merely being affectionate with his partner and that the neighbor did not simply ask them to behave properly, but instead used derogatory terms and threatened to call ICE on his partner.
Therefore, he reportedly reacted in defense of his partner, which resulted in a scuffle. He was released after posting a $1,000 bail.
Ludwig Kaiser Makes It To The Serenata Para Event
AAA and Kings League Mexico had planned a large, free fan event in Mexico City called “Serenata Para: El Grande Americano” (A Serenade for El Grande Americano) for Thursday, May 21. But because of the arrest, it was doubtful whether Ludwig Kaiser would be able to attend the event. So it was canceled.
However, after Kaiser was allowed to travel internationally for work, AAA rescheduled the Serenata event, and it eventually took place on May 22 at the Kings League Dome in Mexico City.
During his appearance at the event, Ludwig Kaiser broke down in tears on the microphone after receiving an overwhelming show of support. When the public found out that El Grande Americano had allegedly fought a man who insulted or threatened his Latina girlfriend, the Mexican fan base completely rallied behind him, celebrating him as a hero.
Despite the legal issues hanging over him, Kaiser is continuing to fight the charges while also working to secure permanent clearance for cross-border travel. Even with the situation surrounding him, he is still expected to compete in his highly anticipated Mask vs. Mask match against Chad Gable at Noche de Los Grandes on May 30.
