Report: Dana Warrior Has Been Hired by WWE to Join the Creative Team

Dana Warrior, who is the wife of late WWE Hall of Famer, the Ultimate Warrior, has a new role in WWE – she’s a part of the creative team now. That’s according to Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin.

If you’re wondering, yes, that’s her legal name. The Ultimate Warrior legally changed his name decades ago and the couple was married in 1999. They have two daughters. Dana is 49 years old.

Ever since Ultimate Warrior died in 2014 just days after his Hall of Fame induction, Dana has been a part of the company as a “brand ambassador.” Dana is also the woman that presents the Warrior Award at WWE’s Hall of Fame every year.

According to Satin’s report, Dana was at WWE’s Raw and Smackdown television tapings last week and worked on the creative team to add more of a female perspective to things. The creative team position isn’t permanent yet. Most likely it’s going to be on a trial basis like most of the backstage jobs in WWE. Dana also hosts a podcast called “Total Warriors.”

Analysis: I’m not sure how to react to this one. I have no idea if she would be good at a job like that or what her background is. She’s 49-year-old widow that’s a mother of two, so at least they can get the perspective of somebody with kids. I don’t believe they have many women on the creative team right now, but the number that they may have isn’t known.

What we do know about WWE of late is they are adding a lot of people behind the scenes including at least five new producers, Bruce Prichard re-joined the creative team and now Dana Warrior is a part of things.

Since Dana has been part of the WWE family for nearly five years, they must know her pretty well and feel like she would be a good fit. I don’t believe new people will have much of a say in storylines, but again these things are kept private from us a lot of time too. Good luck to her.
